Arizona Tax Credit Donation Opportunity for 88.7 The Pulse

88.7 FM/The Pulse, the student radio station at the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT), is seeking support from the community in the form of an end-of-the-year tax credit donation. In Arizona, an individual can donate up to $200, while a married couple filing a joint tax return can donate up to $400 to a qualified public school. Then, that amount is automatically deducted from any tax money owed to the state, or added to one’s refund, if that donor is receiving money back from the state.

To help support the students of EVIT’s Radio/Audio Production program and 88.7 The Pulse, visit www.evit.com/taxcredit; then click on the purple “DONATE” button. Next, select “EVIT MAIN” in the “School” menu. Lastly, select “Radio Broadcasting” from the “Item” dropdown menu.

Donations will help the Radio/Audio Production program continue to empower students, foster workplace skills and shape the lives of future broadcasters. 88.7 The Pulse, EVIT’s 15,000 watt student radio station, was recently named 2022-2023 “Best High School Station” in the nation at the John Drury national high school radio awards. The program also encompasses a state of the art digital music recording studio and “Pulse Records on Main,” a student-run recording studio catering to local bands.

To contact “Pulse Records on Main,” please reach out to Noah Allen at nallen@evit.edu or with questions about 88.7 The Pulse, email Dave Juday at djuday@evit.edu or Michael Mallace at mmallace@evit.edu.
