On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) returned to Phoenix, Arizona, delivering an electrifying night of professional wrestling at the Arizona Financial Theatre. Fans were treated to live tapings of AEW Dynamite and Collision, showcasing a thrilling mix of wrestling legends, rising stars, and high-flying luchadors.

AEW Announces Double or Nothing Pay-Per-View in Arizona!

Earlier in the day, AEW made a groundbreaking announcement—Double or Nothing is coming to Arizona! Set for May 25, 2025, this marks the first time AEW’s signature pay-per-view will be held in the state. The event, which launched AEW in 2019, will take place at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, exactly six years after the historic first Double or Nothing.

AEW Dynamite: Explosive Matches and Unforgettable Moments

The action-packed AEW Dynamite broadcast kicked off live on TBS, with commentary from Excalibur, Taz, and Ian Riccaboni. The night began with a fiery confrontation between MJF and “Hangman” Adam Page, leading to a near brawl that required security intervention.

The first in-ring action featured a high-impact trios match, pitting The OPPS (Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & HOOK) against The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Nick Wayne & Kip Sabian). The hard-hitting battle ended with The OPPS securing a decisive pinfall victory.

Next up, Powerhouse Hobbs clashed with Big Bill in a brutal street fight. After eleven minutes of intense, no-holds-barred action—including brawling through the crowd and barbed-wire wrapped tables—Hobbs emerged victorious.

AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm Stirs Up the Competition

Newly crowned AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm made her way to the ring, addressing the competition and calling out Kris Statlander, who was set to face Megan Bayne. In a shocking upset, Megan Bayne defeated Statlander, shaking up the women’s division.

Jon Moxley, Adam Copeland, and Jay White Ignite a Chaotic Brawl

The reigning AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley, arrived with the Death Riders, but chaos quickly ensued when he called out Adam Copeland (formerly Edge). As Switchblade Jay White entered the ring, Copeland stormed in, leading to a wild brawl that set the stage for a potential championship showdown at AEW Revolution.

Adam Copeland’s fiery promo left the Phoenix crowd buzzing:

“Moxley! This isn’t your arena. These aren’t your seats. These aren’t your people. They’re my people! I know you’re halfway back to your hotel, but you’re a coward! One by one, I’m taking out your goon squad. When we get to Revolution, it’s man versus man.”

TAEW Dynamite Main Event: Orange Cassidy vs. Roderick Strong

Legendary commentator Jim Ross joined the booth for the Revolution International Championship Series opener, featuring Orange Cassidy vs. Roderick Strong. In a technical and hard-fought battle, Cassidy overcame Strong’s relentless backbreakers to secure the pinfall victory, moving one step closer to a title shot against Kenny Omega at AEW Revolution in Los Angeles this March.

The night closed with Kenny Omega confronting the Don Callis Family, signaling his intent to reclaim gold at AEW Revolution.
