Throughout the offseason, it has been evident that the Arizona Cardinals have set their sights on Ohio State product Marvin Harrison Jr. This selection would be a perfect match for both parties, as the Cardinals need a clear-cut WR1 for their QB1.
Harrison Jr. stands tall at 6’4″, which is perfect for Kyler Murray, who thrives off bigger targets. We saw what Murray accomplished with his big tight end in the emergence of Trey McBride, and one can only imagine the potential with both MHJ and Trey on the field. Additionally, with the presence of the second-year 6’2″ wide receiver Michael Wilson, the Cardinals’ receiving corps could become even more formidable.
It’s also decision time regarding Marquise “Hollywood” Brown’s contract. If healthy, his chemistry with his best friend Kyler Murray could significantly benefit the Cardinals’ receiving group. Furthermore, playmakers like Greg Dortch, who is expected to remain with the team, and Rondale Moore, offer exciting possibilities for the future.
The upcoming months promise to be intriguing for the Cardinals, with free agency and the NFL draft on the horizon. Arizona boasts ample cap space and draft picks, and it’s been rumored that they are prepared to make significant investments in the 2024 offseason. Despite finishing with only four wins, the Cardinals played much better than their record suggests. When Kyler Murray returned from injury, the team transformed into a top-10 offensive unit. Adding Marvin Harrison Jr. and bolstering the offensive line through the draft and free agency could elevate the team to new heights.
