Bradley Beal Returns, As The Suns Defeat The Warriors In Dramatic Fashion

Through all the chaos, The Phoenix Suns won Tuesday’s matchup vs. the Golden State Warriors at home. The big headline for the game was that Bradley Beal would play after missing a month due to a back injury.

Beal would play 27 minutes and score 16 points off of 5-12 shooting. Although it was nice for the Suns to have another ball handler out there, you could tell Beal was still finding his legs and getting back into rhythm. Once he gets into the full swing of things this team will be much more dangerous.

As for more headlines, Warriors forward Draymond Green would be ejected for a flagrant foul on Suns big man Jusuf Nurkic. Green was in the corner and Nurkic was defending him, while having his hands on Green who was trying to get free, eventually turned around and hit Nurkic in the face. This led to a flagrant two ejecting Draymond from the game. Later on in the press conferences, both were asked on the matter. Green’s input, “ I didn’t intend to hit him.”m Claiming he was just trying to get loose from Nurk. Then Jusuf Nurkic’s comments, “Personally that brother needs help.” Nurkic is concerned for Green, as he has been in a lot of trouble throughout his career, seemingly all similar incidents.

But for how the game was played, the Suns were in trouble in the second quarter while being down 10, they eventually came back only trailing by three at the end of the first half. The Suns took command in the second half, but would be put in a tough position by themselves after being up 13 late in the fourth, eventually only winning by three after a Warriors push. In order to be better, the Suns will need to address their late game closing issues. It was another stellar performance from Devin Booker as he had 32 points and 7 assists, he keeps putting his name up in an elite category of stars.

The Suns next game will be at home tonight as they face the Brooklyn Nets, and two familiar faces will return to the valley tonight as Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson make their return, after being dealt to the Nets in last year’s trade deadline. It should be a fun one. More exciting features to the game Bradley Beal is also expected to play (back) and Kevin Durant is questionable (sprained ankle) tonight can finally be the night we see the Suns big 3 make their awaited debut.
