EVIT Radio’s 88.7 The Pulse to Broadcast East Valley High School Football Games This Fall

Friday night lights are back on 88.7 The Pulse. The student-run radio station at the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) will broadcast nine East Valley high school football games during the 2025 regular season, offering fans live, play-by-play coverage of some of Arizona’s top matchups.
From August 29 through November 7, listeners can tune in every Friday night at 6:55 PM to catch East Valley high school football broadcasts featuring powerhouse programs from Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Queen Creek, and Phoenix. Highlights include Open Division contenders such as Basha, ALA-Queen Creek, and Higley, along with top-ranked 6A and 5A teams like Mountain View, Brophy, and ALA-Gilbert North.
Hands-On Broadcasting Experience for EVIT Students
Each game is produced and delivered entirely by students in EVIT’s Radio/Audio Production program, giving them real-world experience in announcing, engineering, and audio production. Students serve as play-by-play announcers, analysts, on-site engineers, and handle all pre- and post-production work.
Based at EVIT’s Main Campus in Mesa, 88.7 The Pulse is a leading source for local sports coverage and a training ground for the next generation of broadcasters. The award winning station enters its 11th season of Pulse Sports, covering high school football, basketball, baseball, and softball.
