EVIT Radio Senior Salute: Class of 2025

At 88.7 The Pulse, we’re proud to celebrate the graduating seniors from the EVIT Radio/Audio Production program. These students have worked hard the past two years in the studio, on-air, behind the scenes, and out in the community. Through their talent, creativity, and leadership, they’ve helped make The Pulse a true voice throughout the Valley and beyond.

Now, they’re getting ready to take the next step — whether that’s college, trade school, or launching a career in broadcasting, audio production, or media.

This is our 6th Annual EVIT Radio Senior Salute, and we’re honored to spotlight a few of the members of the Class of 2025.

Meet the Graduates

Matthew Cavazos
Matthew served as Student Sports Director, covering the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Rising FC, and local sports. He’s a two-time SkillsUSA gold medalist and will represent Arizona at Nationals in Atlanta. He’ll attend ASU’s Cronkite School of Journalism to major in Sports Journalism. His favorite memory: spending the night at the station during Rock-A-Thon.

Asa Lindsay
Asa led the team as Podcasting Director and Production Director. A SkillsUSA state gold medalist, he’ll also compete at Nationals before starting a career in radio. He loved performing a live acoustic set during Rock-A-Thon.

Brandon Neyenhuis
Brandon served as Student Program Director and is also heading to SkillsUSA Nationals. After graduation, he plans to work in radio broadcasting. His favorite moments were the early days of the year, making friends and finding his voice in the studio.

Jackson Wolfmeyer
A student at Corona del Sol High School, Jackson won gold at the SkillsUSA state championships. He’s heading to CRAS – the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences, with dreams of working at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studio in Malibu.

Skylar Davidson
Skylar was a key part of our live sports broadcasts team. This fall, they’ll attend CRAS to study audio engineering. Skylar is known for their love of Rock-A-Thon, their artwork, and daily walks to school — often joined by their two dogs and a friendly stray cat.

Jerome Jentzsch
A graduate of Desert Ridge High School, Jerome earned multiple industry certifications and will also attend CRAS. Outside of audio production, he’s a third-degree black belt in American Kenpo.

Jonah Gillette
Jonah comes from Queen Creek High School and will study audio production at CRAS. He found his passion while working in the studio at Pulse Records on Main, and nearly joined the Fire Science program before discovering radio.

Lee Rhinehart
Lee is pursuing a career in post-production audio and will attend CRAS. She loved helping engineer shows for classmates and worked on projects inspired by Pingu and Gravity Falls. Fun fact: she’s unbeatable at Guitar Hero.

Mariana Perez Cervantes
A senior at McClintock High School, Mariana is heading to ASU’s Popular Music program. She hosted a specialty music show, helped run Rock-A-Thon, and is known for her big personality — and her ever-changing hair color.

John Macias Ortega
John is passionate about audio production and will begin an electrical apprenticeship after graduation. He plans to launch his own business one day. He enjoyed working on post-production and singing karaoke with friends at EVIT.

Congratulations, Class of 2025!
